Thanks for dropping by and reading about our baby Benjamin. This blog is a raw, unpolished look at his story through my eyes, and I wrote it for three reasons:
Therapy - For me, a portion of healing always comes through writing. So in this case, I can't not write about our loss. Putting life on paper helps me see things from God's eternal point of view rather than my own temporal point of view.
Legacy - The Bible tells us to share our stories of how God moved in our lives with our children. One day, when my kids are older, I want them to know about their brother they never met, and about their God who still calms storms.
Empathy - Another truth in God's Word is that He comforts us in order that we may comfort others. If you are experiencing the loss of an unborn child, my prayer is that Benjamin's story will not bring you answers or explanations, but will simply bring you comfort. You are not alone in your grief. There are others who understand how you feel, and there is a God who can love you right through the pain.
Disclaimer - Just FYI, I'm not great at the behind-the-scenes design aspect of blogging, so I apologize if the aesthetics are not as cute and pleasing as other blogs. I'm learning as I go, and like I said, this blog is raw and unpolished...
